 1991   Firm foundation

SOLAR-TECHNIK s.r.o. was founded on December 9, 1991 The company was established as a private firm with the following object of business: MANUFACTURE OF SUN SCREENS AND PURCHASE OF GOODS FOR purpose of their resale and sales.

Ever since the company was established, its headquarters are located in Fryšták, where all our commercial and production programmes focus. Fryšták is a small Moravian town 5 km from Zlín.
 

Vertical blinds

The initial intention was that the company would begin the production, sale and assembly of horizontal (venetian) and vertical aluminium blinds. We began manufacturing vertical blinds on the basis of an agreement on the exclusive representation of SOLAR Systems (Italy) in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The company gained a dominant position on the market for this range of products, thanks to good prices and quality, as well as to the wide choice of materials offered.

 1992   Venetian blinds

Manufacture of horizontal blinds began in 1992 on modern, fully automatic equipment purchased from Sweden. The company's aim gradually became an endeavour to expand shading equipment production up to European standards, so that the product offer may be competitive not only in the Czech Republic, but also abroad.

 1993   Roller shutters , garage doors

In the year 1993, further enhancement came in with a new production programme of a higher technical and functional level: namely, the company began manufacturing plastic and aluminium window roller shutters, also on state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment purchased from Germany. This program was soon successfully expanded with the manufacturing of other related products, i.e. garage doors (including the supply of roll-up doors, multi-section doors, revolving doors).

Safety grilles, insect screens

We also expanded our production by safety grilles (including rolling grilles, side folding grilles and other types upon request), insect screens for windows and doors (fixed and rolling).

 1994   Venetiann blinds ISOdesign

A significant novelty in our production, the ISOdesign blinds are manufactured under a license we purchased in 1994 from the Austrian company WO & WO. Our company thus became the sole authorised manufacturer of this product in the Czech Republic: a unique type of in-door blind designed for modern plastic, wooden or aluminium windows with insulating glazing. Market demand was immediately high for this product. Because of its qualities, in the following years it became a standard piece of equipment on modern windows. Since then, our company has manufactured these blinds in several hundred thousand exemplars under the protected trademark ISOdesign. Today, as much as before, our customers value the blind's high standard of design, its technical perfection and reliability.

PVC folding doors

Also in 1994 we introduced another important production programme: the manufacture of PVC folding doors, which were in short supply on the market and were thus a profitable addition to our collection of blinds and related articles. We currently manufacture these doors in 26 colours, transparent or opaque, in any width, with a maximum height of up to 3 m.

Rattan furniture, leather chair sets

Since 1994 our activities were further enhanced by new commercial programmes involving rattan furniture, leather chair sets. We carry out the wholesale and retailing of these products in the Czech Republic.

 1995   Aluminium profiles

In 1995 we began collaborating with one of the largest aluminium producer, HULLET Aluminium, Republic of South-Africa. Since then we have been gradually developing our commercial activities involving aluminium sections. Our company currently has a wholesale inventory both in Fryšták and Prague for more than 150 different types of products in this category, and carries out sales throughout the Czech Republic.

 

 1996   Powder coating

Gradually during the years 1996–1997 the company's activities expanded and got to include a powder paint mill designed for the coating of small- and medium-size parts. Thanks to its modern equipment the mill can carry out work of high quality.

 

 

 1998-1999   New production premises

In the end of the year 1998 the firm began to build a new premises on our lot. In August 1999 1. stage was completed – production and administrative building with total area 3023m².

All production and offices were moved from rent premises to new ones.

 2001   Textile roller blinds

In new premises we started with the production of textile roller blinds controlled by a chain and a spring in 2001.

 2002   Venetian blinds + roller blinds for roof windows

There was a shortage of roof sun protection on our market. We decided to begin a new programme – the production of venetian and roller blinds for roof windows. Both types can be fixed easily to whatever roof window. They are convenient also for shading of winter gardens.

 2003   Awnings

In 2003 we innovated our awning programme and we introduced a new line of pull-out box covered awnings that satisfy all customers with the highest demands.

 2004-2005   Venetian blinds Edesign and Cdesign

In these years we enriched our production by a new type of venetian blinds. They are useful for windows with single or double glazing made of wood, plastic or metal. This venetian blind is controled by chain and has better price. All components are from local manufacturers. Design and function are similar to the type Isodesign.

 2005   Powder coating extention

In 2005 our paint mill was extended by powder coating of long profiles up to 2400 mm in a new special cabin.

The updating of production technology

Complete techology of venetian blind production was replaced by new modern and high efficient PLC machines controlled by computer.

 

 

New warehouse

In 2005 new warehouse was build next to the production premises with area 541 m².

 

 2006   New type of ISOdesign

After thorough development and consultation with window manufacturers and together with Austrian manufacturer of components we introduce on our market a new venetian blind with „clever“ function – tilting for better maintanance. It is the new type of venetian blinds that increase standard of venetian blinds for plastic, aluminium and wooden windows with double glazing several years ahead.

 

Venetian blinds for outside

In 2006 we also introduced venetian blinds that are fixed outside of windows. Now we can offer 5 types of blinds with side guides controled by hand or motor.

 2007   New balcony awnings

On request of our cliens we started production of modern balcony awnings.
Arms of these awnings are integrated into front profile and it is not necessary to
fix them on a balcony railing. This new idea brings improving of aesthetic design and also better control of awning.
